Ridley Scott is returning to the work of Philip K. Dick for the first time since 1982's Blade Runner, to executive-produce a new BBC mini-series adaptation of The Man In The High Castle. The novel, set in an alternate reality where the Nazis won the second world war, will be adapted by playwright (and writer of Spooks) Howard Brenton into a four-episode series co-produced by Scott's production company Scott Free, British studio Headline Pictures and Electric Shepherd, the production side of the Dick estate, with the BBC co-funding the series with independent producers Freemantle Media, who'll distribute the series outside of the UK (Translation: Don't expect this to turn up on BBC America or PBS automatically).
Вообще, в каком-то смысле даже логично, после херни вроде Американского Гангстера и Робин Гуда вернуться к старым формулам.
И еще радует внимание серьезных режиссеров к телевидению - Скорсезе с невероятно офигенным Boardwalk Empire, теперь это.
